Although now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, kicker Brandon McManus will always have a special place in his heart for the Denver Broncos. After all, nine years in the life of a pro player are not easily forgotten. Even less so if there's a shiny Super Bowl ring to show for them.

Before embarking on a new adventure, the accomplished veteran moved on from his time with the Broncos in wholesome fashion: He took a full-page ad in last Sunday's edition of the Denver Post thanking fans. He also thanked more than 150 members of the staff.

"I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support you have shown me and my family over the past nine years," McManus wrote in the newspaper. "Your unwavering support, relentless cheers, and unconditional love have been the driving force behind my time as a Denver Bronco."

Even after being released in a surprising move that was motivated by financial reasons more than anything else, McManus remained an absolute class act.

McManus, who has made the third most 50+ yard field goals since he joined the NFL, probably won't have the same amount of time in Jacksonville as he did in Denver. But he is arriving at a situation where he could find himself in the high-stakes scenarios that turned him into such an important player in Broncos history.

The Jaguars, after all, are expected to be a playoff team and with Trevor Lawrence running the offense, they'll be contenders for years to come.

"From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making Denver feel like home," concluded the new Jaguars player in the ad, who signed off as Super Bowl 50 Champion, Brandon McManus.

Hopefully, he has the same to say about Jacksonville when the time comes.
