The Jacksonville Jaguars seem to be on a mission to conquer fans internationally but the main target appears to center around one particular place: London.

The Jags have played a game across the pond every single season since 2015 – 2020 excluded for pandemic reasons – and are on the verge of playing a historic back-to-back stretch in 2023.

That's a historic development that will be a first in league history. Two consecutive international games is a lot, isn't it?

Not in the eyes of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who hinted at the possibility of trying three straight international games at some point.

That's right. According to Ari Meirov, that was Goodell's message on Tuesday. On the same day, it was announced the Jaguars are being partnered as a "Global Market Partner" with the Republic of Ireland.

Inevitably, the prospect of playing three games will have many fans and media members speculating about the possibility of an NFL team existing in London full-time, whether it's an existing team or an expansion. While it sounds like an unlikely scenario, the league is clearly focusing on growing globally.

"We like to take things in increments," said Goodell on Tuesday while answering a question about having a team full-time in London, per Albert Breer. "The focus is to try to do two, and see what the impact is there first."

We'll leave what it means for the Jaguars' long-term future another day. For now, the team's focus will be on beating the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills 4,259 miles away from Jacksonville.
