The Jacksonville Jaguars defense actually played very well against a very good offense from the Baltimore Ravens. They locked down at times and even made Lamar Jackson's life hard in the pocket. The defense was by far the identity of this team during the primetime matchup, and it showed more than a few times.

This defense hasn't always been amazing this season. They have been compared to a rollercoaster, where their season has been up and down. They have had really high highs and some low lows, like getting carved up by two backup quarterbacks, Jake Browning, and Joe Flacco.

One of the constants that has been there for the Jaguars' defense the last two years has been safety Rayshawn Jenkins. He hasn't always been amazing, but he hasn't never been terrible. He has consistently been good.

On Sunday Night football, he had a great game despite the amount of points the defense gave up. He even etched his name into the Jaguars' history books. Here is what the Jaguars' PR team tweeted out about Jenkins' big day:

Rayshawn Jenkins recorded his 2nd interception of the season in tonight's matchup with 11:47 remaining in the 2nd quarter. He is one of three Jaguars since 2018 to record at least two interceptions in consecutive seasons (2022-23).

The Jaguars signed Jenkins to a four-year, $35 million contract in 2021 and have since gotten their money's worth. Jenkins has been really good at times this year, and against the Ravens, he baited Lamar Jackson into throwing an interception.

We knew Jenkins would be a factor in this game, with Andre Cisco and Tyson Campbell both out. He showed up, even if the scoreboard didn't reflect it.
