The Jacksonville Jaguars may have just found a solution to a big roster issue they were likely to have.
On Sunday, after the loss to the Baltimore Ravens, we were informed by Doug Pederson that Trevor Lawrence was in concussion protocol. That means there is a big chance Lawrence will not play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Then, with that being known, the Jaguars lost their practice squad quarterback to the New England Patriots. Nathan Rourke, who was supposed to be that third QB if Lawrence can't go, or the emergency QB, was stolen by the Patriots.
So, if the Jaguars got into that situation where Beathard and Cooke got hurt, they would be screwed.
Because of that, they ended up signing E.J. Perry, who was previously on the practice squad. If he sticks and doesn't get signed by another team, it would fix the issue they had.
