The Jacksonville Jaguars have been dealt a bad hand this week when it comes to injuries, especially when you factor in some of the things at stake for Week 16. After this week, there are just two games left, and for the Jaguars, a playoff team if they win out, there is no room for error.

With Trevor Lawrence in concussion protocol this week, the Jaguars were looking at the possibility of playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 with C.J. Beathard starting at QB.

On Saturday, just a day before the game that’s scheduled to be played on Christmas Eve, a report broke that Lawrence is out of concussion protocol.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Trevor Lawrence is traveling with the team, which means he is out of concussion protocol. As head coach Doug Pederson said on Friday, if Lawrence was ruled out early, he wouldn’t travel with the team with a concussion.

Now, this doesn’t mean he will play, but it does mean that his concussion wasn’t as bad as it could have been. If you look around the league, the Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud is still in the protocol for two weeks now. The Texans revealed that his situation has not been great.

So, it’s great to hear Lawrence is doing well.

Update: Lawrence will start against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
