It's been a rough season for the Jacksonville Jaguars. But even with multiple key players out, they had a chance late in the game vs. the Minnesota Vikings in Week 10.

Late in the game, they even had the chance to get the ball back with just under 30 seconds left in the game after forcing a fourth down. But a flag drawn by DE Travon Walker ended the game once and for all.

NFL fines Travon Walker for the play that ended the Jaguars' comeback chance in Week 10 vs. the Vikings

The Jaguars' defense held the Vikings' high-powered offense to just 12 points, which was more than enough to win this game. However, the Jaguars' offense without QB Trevor Lawrence could only score seven points. The defense forced yet another stop late in the game, which would have forced the Vikings to punt the ball deep in their own territory with just under 30 seconds on the clock.

But instead, after the ball was very clearly over, Travon Walker began throwing punches toward Aaron Jones. I'm sure Walker could make the argument he was aiming for the ball, but with the play already over, it was simply not worth the risk. That risk being a flag that would give the Vikings an automatic first down and end the game. The officials did throw the flag, and now the NFL has added a fine to make things worse for Walker.

The NFL fined Walker $11,817.00 for the violent act as they ruled it "Unnecessary Roughness." This was one of two fines handed out to the Jaguars this week, as linebacker Foyesade Oluokun was also hit with a fine by the league. No matter the situation, that flag would have hurt the Jaguars. But for it to be a game-ending penalty, it just can't happen. Hopefully, the flag and the fine are enough for Walker to learn from this moment. The Jaguars are already losing enough as it is; they don't need players committing self-made errors like this to make it worse.
