We can all hate on former Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke as much as we want, and rightfully so — he made some really bad draft picks. But, I think we can all agree he nailed the draft pick of Brian Thomas Jr. BTJ, a Rookie of the Year candidate this last season. BTJ was awesome, and at times, he looked like the best offensive player on the team.

There were other times when he looked like a rookie, as he should. Either way, it was evident that the Jaguars have something very special in Thomas Jr. He's going to be the future of the wide receiver corps, with guys next to him like Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis, and Evan Engram at tight end.

That's a solid group of players for Trevor Lawrence to throw to. And, guys like Thomas Jr. will only get better, and the Jaguars will continue to put pieces around Lawrence. In fact. Trevor Lawrence could soon have a guy similar to Justin Jefferson to throw the ball to. Yes, you heard that right, one of the biggest NFL analyst in the league is reporting that he feels like BTJ is on the same trajectory as Jefferson, the best receiver in the league on the Minnesota Vikings.

"Brian Thomas Jr., to me, and I heard someone here [New Orleans for the Super Bowl], make this comparison, I think Brian Thomas Jr. is going to be on that Justin Jefferson trajectory, especially starting this season, too, if they can get this offense clicking. I was like, you know what, that's not a bad call," Adam Rank said to 1010XL.

The Jaguars drafted well with Jefferson, I mean, Brian Thomas Jr. But, no seriously, I can see the comparison and the trajectory factor. The two moves are very similar, but Thomas Jr. is much stronger and built with a bigger frame, yet somehow is still blazing fast.

Only time will tell.
