Picking at No. 5 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars should be able to land a player who will make an immediate impact and develop into a cornerstone piece of their roster for multiple years.

The consensus among most experts and fans is that there are more needs on the defensive side of the ball than the offense for Jacksonville. However, it's hard to argue against adding one more big-time weapon for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who badly needs a bounce back season.

Josh Liskiewitz of Pro Football Focus believes that Penn State tight end Tyler Warren would be not only a great fit for new Jaguars coach Liam Coen's offensive system, but turn into a perennial All-Pro.

"Yes, the 2023 regime is gone, but new general manager James Gladstone (previously with the Los Angeles Rams) and head coach Liam Coen (the 2023 offensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) both come from places that benefited from a creative array of weapons and understand the value a player like Warren could bring them. The Jaguars hit an absolute home run last year with wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., and pairing Warren with him could make for one of the most dynamic duos in the league." – Josh Liskiewitz

Warren is the No. 1 ranked TE on our A to Z Sports Mock Draft Database, as he is in most others in the football media world. He is as athletic as they come, ranking first among his position in both athleticism and production score during the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. As a pass catcher, Warren is already on par with most starting NFL TEs.

He made need a little work as a blocker, but that will come with experience. Warren would open up Jacksonville's passing game, giving Lawrence a safety blanket across the middle of the field and relieving some pressure off of Thomas Jr. Warren would produce for any team, but an offensive-minded coach like Coen should get the most out of him.
