It seems likely that Jayden Daniels could end up with the New England Patriots next season.
However, one report raised a few questions after it was said by NBC Sports Boston's Phil Perry that "there are those in his camp who prefer Daniels doesn't end up in the Northeast."
That is because he is from California and played at both Arizona State and LSU. So the playing conditions would be a major change in New England.
However, Jayden Daniels wanted to squash these rumors quickly.
While it would definitely be something he would have to adapt to, he wants to make sure people don't think that he doesn't want to come to the Patriots.
And during the NFL Combine, Daniels talked about his meeting with New England.
“It was good – just to be able to put a name to a face. I know the names of those guys, so to be able to sit down and have a human contact, talk eye-to-eye with them," he told reporters. "It was just great to go in there and just talk and get to know them and they get to know me.”
While Caleb Williams is basically the unanimous choice to go No. 1 overall to the Chicago Bears, Drake Maye and Daniels aren't considered a lock for No. 2 or No. 3. Some people have Maye to the Commanders, while others have him going to the Patriots. And it's the same thing for Daniels.
But regardless of where Daniels ends up, he's made it clear the he will be ready to compete and show his skills.
