Exiled former NFL head coach Jon Gruden launched his own YouTube series and TikTok account as he stays involved in a game that seemingly no longer wants him. Not long after he declared his interest in coaching college football, he began sharing his bold and over-the-top "Chucky" persona that once made him a beloved head coach in the NFL.

Gruden, now 61, is trying to blend being a personality and sharing his expertise in an entertaining format. But fans have been terrified by the snippets of his latest Week 5 breakdown shared by his TikTok account.

Gruden praised Jared Goff, the Detroit Lions quarterback who achieved a perfect 18-for-18 mark in their last outing but did so in the oddest of manners. Unable to contain his excitement, Gruden proclaimed, "I COULDN'T DO THAT IN PREGAME WARMUP!"

His transition from an enthusiastic coach to an almost theatrical persona was underscored by a powerful dubstep soundtrack, surprisingly crafted by his son, Michael. Look at these overly dramatic expressions.

Gruden frequently mentions what "has me feeling nicey," delivering highly energetic critiques of the week's standout players. His presentation is so exaggerated that it borders on satire, mixing authentic football insight with a dramatic presentation.

It's just really strange, and here are some of my favorite responses on Twitter.

At 61, Gruden has not been part of the NFL coaching scene since 2021, following his decision to step down as the Raiders' head coach.

His resignation came in the wake of leaked emails revealing his use of homophobic and misogynistic terms, in addition to a report that he had made racist comments about DeMaurice Smith, then president of the NFL Players' Association.

Despite largely stepping back from the public eye, Gruden's enthusiasm for football is still apparent, and he is hopeful about returning to coaching, potentially at the college level.

He shared this aspiration with CBS Sports in September and reiterated his interest in coaching during a conversation with Dan Patrick in the same month.

“If someone’s looking for somebody to coach I’ll be in the bullpen, we’ll see what happens…But I have a great YouTube channel we’re very excited about and I’m putting all my focus in that now…It’s just an opportunity to get another chance to be on a team that’s appealing to me.”
