On Monday afternoon, Jason Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. During his speech, he took a moment to thank each and every member of his family.
And whether he meant to or not, Jason snuck in a Taylor Swift reference when talking about his brother, Travis Kelce.
The Eagles center spent his whole career in Philadelphia and he explained how that was meant to be.
"It's only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the City of Brotherly Love," Jason said. "I knew that relationship all too well."
And there is the reference!
Swift's song, 'All Too Well' from her album Red, includes a 10 minute version. And it's an incredible song, so it was a good one for Jason to mention.
While Swift has only been in Jason's life for a short time after her relationship with Travis went public, the two have clearly grown close. And they got to celebrate together as Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs made their postseason run, ultimately winning Super Bowl LVIII.
And his crazy antics caught the singer's eye, whether it was him taking his shirt off and chugging a beer at Highmark Stadium with Bills Mafia or finding a luchador mask on the floor of a club and putting it on the celebrate the championship.
And that game against the Bills was actually the first time the two officially met. But regardless, Travis admitted after the game that "Tay said she absolutely loved you,” on their New Heights podcast.
And Travis was also spotted with a 'Kelce' friendship bracelet.
So whether he meant to mention her or not, it's clear she's a part of the family at this point.
