Patrick Mahomes just couldn't help himself.

During an pregame interview with Kay Adams prior to the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas Day game against the Steelers, the quarterback was asked what he got Travis Kelce for the holidays.

"Trav's got everything," Mahomes responded. "Maybe some acting lessons."

Yikes.

Seems Mahomes saw an opening to poke fun at Kelce's new career venture.

Kelce made his acting debut earlier this year in FX television series "Grotesquerie." And now he is set to appear in Adam Sandler's upcoming "Happy Gilmore 2" movie.

You got to give Mahomes credit. This was a solid roast.

Patrick Mahomes has candid reaction to what a win over Steelers will mean for Chiefs' playoff implications

The Kansas City Chiefs can get an extra Christmas present with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday.

With only two games remaining in the regular season, a victory would secure the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC for the Chiefs.

A first-round bye along with home field advantage is certainly something Kansas City will want for the postseason on its path for a three-peat.

So, going into this game, while the immediate focus is on defeating the Steelers, it's no secret how important a win would be on Christmas day.

"I don’t think you talk about it, but everybody knows. I mean, it’s – you want to get that one seed to get that bye (week) so that you’re basically winning a playoff game by getting the one seed. You get that and you’ll have home-field advantage as well at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium which we feel like is a huge advantage for us," Mahomes explained. "You can’t put all your attention to it, all you can do is go out there and play football and know that we’re going to play a great football team and it’s going to take our best football to win.”

The Chiefs have only lost one game so far this season. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills, who currently have the second seed, have suffered three losses.

Kansas City will have two opportunities to lock up that top spot. First, it will be against the Steelers, but afterwards they finish the regular season against the Denver Broncos

However, if the Bills suffer a loss, either to the New York Jets or the New England Patriots in their final two regular season games, that first seed will immediately become the Chiefs', regardless of how they finish against the Steelers and the Broncos.

That being said, a win on Wednesday would sure take away a lot of that stress, and would be an incredible extra gift from Santa Clause.
