If anyone is worried about Travis Kelce's age impacting his ability to play at a high level, he silenced everyone on Saturday.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end had an impressive day against the Houston Texans, finishing with seven receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown.
And with that, one reporter couldn't help but ask Kelce if he feels 25 years old again.
"22, baby. 22," he responded with a smile.
It was the second time in the span of a week where he made this same Taylor Swift reference.
It comes from Swift's song "22" from her album Red. And the famous line goes, "(Hey!) I don't know about you, But I'm feeling twenty-two."
Based on the way the 35-year-old tight end played, he proved that it is certainly the case.
Taylor Swift encouraging Chiefs TE Travis Kelce to do the opposite of what everyone thinks is coming
Travis Kelce has hinted more than once this season that he is thinking about retirement.
While nobody is sure exactly when that announcement will come, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has made it clear that he is towards the end of the his career.
However, there is one key member of Chiefs Kingdom that is encouraging him to continue playing the game he loves so much.
It's none other than Taylor Swift.
"She's fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game," Kelce said during an appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show. "She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams."
Despite both having busy schedules, the star couple take every opportunity to support each other. And when Kelce speaks about the singer, it shows how much he loves her.
“Me and Taylor are happy," he said. "And I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field, and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”
So, if it's up to Swift, she wants to keep coming to Arrowhead and seeing Kelce and the Chiefs dominate the NFL.
Hopefully her words can keep him playing a little bit longer.
