The Las Vegas Raiders' 2024 season is slowly falling off the rails.
They are 2-8 on the season, and there are no signs of improvement. Their need for direction has never been more evident. That starts with the team finding its franchise quarterback and potentially making leadership changes.
In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, their selection could point to a big move this offseason to fix both issues.
The Raiders land Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders in a new mock draft amidst rumors that Deion Sanders is a top head coach candidate

"Shedeur Sanders is the top quarterback in this class. His poise, accuracy and command are all translatable to the NFL and he has enough ability outside of structure to be a real difference maker at the next level."
– New A to Z Sports mock draft
If the season ended today, the 2-8 Raiders would own the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. This would put them in a great position to land one of the top QBs in the 2025 NFL Draft one may even say prime position.
In this mock draft, two QBs went ahead of Sanders, who many believe is the favorite to be the first off the board. Seeing him land here reminded me of all the rumors about how the NFL could have interest in NFL Hall of Famer and current Coalrado's head coach Deion Sanders making the jump to the pros, oh yeah, and he just so happens to be Shedeur's father. If the Raiders decide to move on from Antonio Pierce after this season ends, Deion will become one of the most noteworthy options to replace him.
The Vegas market seems like a match made in heaven for Deion or, known to some as Prime. Suppose the Raiders were able to convince Sanders to make the jump to the NFL to become their next head coach. Prime has already said that Shedeur isn't going to be willing to play for all 32 teams. There is going to be a list of teams they veto, in a sense. So, I don't think it would be out of the question for Shedeur to flat-out refuse to go through the process with anyone but the Raiders if Deion is their head coach. Some of you reading this may hate this idea, but I think it's undeniable how big of a move this would be for the Raiders if they could swing it. And they would automatically be more talked about in the national media than they have been in quite some time.
