Who would have thought that in a season as dysfunctional as the 2023 season for the Las Vegas Raiders, they would have a game where they beat their franchise record for points scored in a game with 63? They beat the Los Angeles Chargers, a division rival, 63-21.

If you are a Raiders fan or media member, you most likely loved what you saw on Thursday Night Football because it was so much fun. If you are a Chargers fan, you likely wanted them to call the game before halftime, as the score was 49-0 at the halfway mark.

The Chargers have also had a terrible season, just like the Raiders, but in this sense, the Chargers should have had a playoff-caliber season where everyone knows the Raiders are not really a playoff team.

The Chargers needed to make a change, just like the Raiders did when they fired Josh McDaniels. However, Brandon Staley, the coach for the Chargers, would have likely kept his job at least one more week if he had beat the Raiders, which is bad for the Chargers.

They needed to get rid of him and have a fresh start. It happens; the Raiders just went through it, so it's not like I'm bashing them. The Chargers are wasting away the talents of Justin Herbert, an elite quarterback.

So, in a way, you can say that the Raiders did the Chargers a huge favor. It opened up the franchise's eyes even more that it was time for a change. There is no reason that the Raiders should have gone up 49-0 at the half.

The Raiders did the Chargers a massive favor, as Friday morning, it was announced by the Chargers that they let head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco both go.
