The Las Vegas Raiders have something special in Maxx Crosby, as we all already know. They have a guy who is truly one of the best in the league at his position but also is just different. He isn't like any other player in the league. He truly embodies what it means to be a Raider. He is having a DPOY kind of year, but the Raiders are seemingly wasting it with bad overall play.

They also have Tyree Wilson, who, sure, the talent was there on tape but hasn't really shown up in the NFL. He is incredibly raw and still has a lot of developing so far in his NFL career. He just got his first sack this last week against the Chicago Bears, and that was a garbage time sack that truly did not matter.

A sack is a sack, nonetheless.

Raiders fans are passionate about their football team, as they should be. However, they have also been passionate about Tyree Wilson not being very good. A lot of Raiders fans think the Raiders should have drafted Jalen Carter instead, who is tearing the league apart.

However, the off-field issues made the Raiders stay away, and rightfully so with some of the players they have had the last few years with similar issues not about actual football. Fans see what Carter is doing, and it makes them upset.

However, I'm here to tell you that Wilson will likely be okay, especially when you compare his and Max Crosby's careers and how they started through seven games.

For Crosby, he wasn't always this freak athlete whose motto just wills him to find a way to win. No, during the first seven games of his career, he definitely wasn't amazing.

Maxx Crosby, through the first seven games of his career, had 18 tackles, 14 solo, two sacks, four tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles. Those numbers are fine, but they aren't crazy, otherworldly numbers.

As for Wilson, he has nine tackles, four of them solo, one sack, two quarterback hits, and one forced fumble. The numbers aren't insanely different. Not to mention, Wilson is coming off of a foot surgery that caused him to miss almost the entire offseason in terms of training camp and such.

Wilson will be fine. Is this me saying he will be the next Maxx Crosby? No. But he will be a guy the Raiders can rely on.
