Davante Adams doesn't think the Bears did anything special defensively to the Raiders

If you are a diehard Las Vegas Raiders fan, then you might have had a few heart attack scars from high anxiety with this team. They have likely tried to kill you now for the last 20 years or the last time they won a playoff game. But this year, man, this year is truly something different.
The roster on offense is there. They have the best wide receiver in the game, a competent quarterback who is at best league average in Jimmy Garoppolo, the best running back in 2022, and several weapons around those guys that are great, like Jakobi Meyers. Sure, the offensive line could be much, much better, but it's pretty obvious their problems are bigger than that.
I mean, the Raiders, a team that was on a two-game win streak, just lost to maybe the worst team in football when you factor in the Chicago Bears were playing without several starters, including Justin Fields. They were beaten by a former Division Two quarterback who had just played his first-ever game. And hey, give credit to him because he balled out.
But realistically, they weren't beaten by the Bears, if that makes sense. They were beaten by themselves. Well, at least that's what Davante Adams thinks.
"No, I mean, not to discredit anything they did, I feel like they played a pretty solid game, but it definitely had nothing to do with any crazy things that they did to us," Adams said in the locker room to reporters after the game."
In a way, he is right. However, the Bears did play very well, and honestly, they looked to be far more prepared than the Raiders were. Josh McDaniels got out-coached by Matt Eberflus. The Raiders did beat themselves a bit. It wasn't bad penalties at unfortunate times because the Raiders won the penalty battle 9-2.
The biggest thing that stuck out to me was third downs on both sides of the ball. They were 2-9 on third down on offense, while the Bears were 8-13. And, in a way, that is beating yourself. The turnover battle certainly didn't help either, as they lost that 3-0, which is just another example of the Raiders beating themselves.
The good news is that there is still time to get things together to make a potential playoff run. The bad news is that they probably won't turn things around. Hopefully, if Garoppolo isn't ready, they decide to start Aidan O'Connell next week.
