The Las Vegas Raiders have had drama surrounding them since what feels like the offseason. Davante Adams came out this offseason and expressed how he felt after the Derek Carr trade and let everyone know he wasn't happy.
Now, he has since let his frustrations be known; as he has said on record, there is no sense of direction, and the team would do much better if he was getting the ball more. So, it makes sense that his name is being thrown around in the rumor mill, as the trade deadline is just four hours away as I type this.
According to one insider, Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Adams has already tried to get out of town before. Here is what he tweeted:
Sources to BleacherReport, Raiders WR Davante Adams and his camp spoke to the team earlier this month about the possibility of a change of scenery. Las Vegas made it emphatically clear they won't move him. We'll see if anything changes after Monday night's game, with the trade deadline today at 4 p.m. ET.
In a way, it seems like the Raiders are holding him hostage. He wants out, and everyone can see that he isn't happy. I mean, he had two wide-open deep balls against the Lions, but Jimmy Garoppolo couldn't hit him. Then, of course, we saw him slamming his helmet and, after the game, saying he was lost for words.
Be on the lookout near the deadline.
