The Las Vegas Raiders had an inexcusable and embarrassing performance today in a loss to the New Orleans Saints. Now, Las Vegas sits at 2-6 in the basement of the AFC West.
Head Coach Josh McDaniels has a seat that only gets warmer as the weeks progress.
After a strong outing last week against a struggling Texans team, the Raiders turned in a horrid performance in Week 8. The offense sputtered and the defense could not stop Saints RB Alvin Kamara.
In every facet, the Raiders did not look prepared or polished.
Saints' HC Dennis Allen is also a first-year coach like McDaniels, but the teams looked very different today.
Allen was the head coach for the Raiders for a short stint years ago, so this loss is even more painful.
After the game, McDaniels met with Raiders' owner mark Davis once again. That's becoming a reoccurring event.
That probably wasn't what Davis envisioned when he hired McDaniels this past off-season.
For now, tomorrow becomes the most interesting day for the Raiders. They could possibly try to trade a few pieces away for draft capital.
The Raiders have dug themselves too deep of a hole to get back into the division race most likely.
After an off-season of excitement, McDaniels' start to his career with Las Vegas has been quite rough.
