Do they fire him? Do they let him keep going? They are certainly in a weird situation. The players love him, but the product is not being put out on the field, and in the AFC, and the AFC West nonetheless, that cannot happen.
The Raiders went from the second-best team in the AFC West last year to the worst team, with the Denver Broncos getting their rookie quarterback and the Los Angeles Chargers getting their head coach. Then of course, the Kansas City Chiefs are the Kansas City Chiefs. And the Raiders have done nothing to improve. So, something has to be done, right?
If you ask the entire fan base, they would say yes, that Pierce needs to be fired. Well, that's what most of the fan base would say. There tend to be a few stragglers.
Based on everything he is hearing, one ESPN insider does not think that will happen.
Stadium tweeted it out best, but on Sunday, during ESPN's morning countdown show, insider Adam Schefter did a segment in which he told if coaches are staying or going based on everything he heard. He mentioned that Pierce is staying, and based on everything, he's leaning toward that.
The Raiders need a change.
