The NFL trade deadline is nearing, as the day after the Las Vegas Raiders play the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, they will get ready to try and make some deals to improve their team. One of the guys we could see dealt based on everything we are seeing on the field, but also everything we are hearing, is Hunter Renfrow.

However, if the Raiders would like to try and improve their team, they will likely have to make moves other than that one. There are some things they can do, too, that likely wouldn't be too expensive.

One NFL insider says a young stud cornerback could be on the trading block. The Raiders need to inquire about him.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, one name to watch as the trade deadline looms closer is Buffalo Bills second-year cornerback Kaiir Elam, who was a former first-round pick just a year ago but has been a healthy scratch several times throughout this season.

As we all know, the Raiders need help in their secondary. Between Nate Hobbs and Jakorian Bennett being hurt, Marus Peters just not being very good, and the Raiders not playing Tyler Hall, they need some more help.

Elam is still extremely raw and could use some development. However, I believe he could come in immediately and play a valuable role. This defense can't get much worse, especially in that area, and why not take a shot on a guy that still has a ton of potential that the Bills obviously don't want anymore?

The Raiders should not only inquire about him, but if the price is right, maybe a third-rounder or less, they should go after him.
