The Las Vegas Raiders believe in quarterback Derek Carr. They should, too. The Raiders extended their quarterback this offseason and gave him arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL in Davante Adams. Accordingly, a former NFL defensive star has high expectations for Carr this season.
This performance from Carr would certainly be best-case scenario for the Raiders.
It does make some sense, though. Carr and Adams already have a connection since they went to college together. Additionally, the AFC West will be full of shootouts. The Raiders will need to score a lot of points to contend for the division and the conference.
For Clark, this isn't the first showing of confidence in Carr. In August, he showed respect for the offense for the Raiders. He acknowledged how underrated Carr is as well as the talent around him at the skill positions.
All of this being said, a season like Brady and Moss had does not come around often. Carr and Adams would have to create an outlier of a year for the Raiders to achieve production that is even comparable. Regardless, the duo and the team should be really exciting.
