The Raiders usually don't not have a good running game. They almost always move the chains by way of the ground game. That's what they are doing against the New England Patriots, too.
At the half, we learned that Jacobs etched his name into greatness even more than he already was.
Before the game, Jacobs was still the fifth all-time rusher in the Raiders' history. But he had only 4,975 rushing yards. At half, he became the fourth Raider ever to have 5,000 rushing yards for the franchise.
Just think about all of the guys who have played for the Raiders in the backfield.
Marcus Allen has over 8,000 rushing yards with the team, which will be hard to break. If Jacobs stays with the team for another few years and plays at the level he did last year, he can pass it.
Jacobs has a chance to move past Clem Daniels for the third spot on the all-time rushing list either this game or even the next one. He could potentially pass Mark van Eeghen for second all-time for the Raiders this season, too.
Even Patriots legend Julian Edelman has little faith in New England against Raiders
That’s not a good look for the Patriots.
