The Las Vegas Raiders are entering and approaching Week 4 with a pretty bad injury report. They have their two best players listed as of Thursday, with Maxx Crosby having an ankle issue, and Davante Adams being limited with a hamstring issue. And, that's just two of the nine players.
But, they aren't the only team dealing with injuries, and in fact, they may have it easy compared to others. The Cleveland Browns have 17 players on their injury report. It's not looking good for either team, but there's still a game to be played.
The Raiders are trying not to fall into a 1-3 hole, which, if they do, will be very hard to recover from if they want to make the postseason. It's possible, but very hard. And, they are losing to teams they should be beating like the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers, and beating the team they should be losing to like the Baltimore Ravens.
They can win on Sunday and finish 2-2. But, it's not going to be easy. It doesn't help that their best player is hurt, and by the sounds of it, he's not doing too well.
“I’m not worried about that right now," Crosby said on Thursday when asked how he feels about playing Sunday. "I am just worried about today.” Doing whatever he can to feel better."
That's not very convincing. But, you want him to sit if he needs to. He's the best player and safety and health matter first. But, we know Crosby. Last season, he had two weeks in a row where he was dealing with insane knee swelling, and missed every day of practice but still played in the games.
That's why no one was initially worried about him last week and even this week. But, these comments are concerning, for sure.
