Klint Kubiak has already won over the Raiders fan base in a unique way and he hasn’t even started the job yet
The Raiders are excited to have Kubiak, and he’s excited to be a Raider.
The Las Vegas Raiders can begin preparing for the 2026 offseason. With the Super Bowl concluded—Seattle Seahawks defeating the New England Patriots—they can now officially hire their head coach.
Everyone knew the Raiders would most likely be getting Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach. It’s been reported for weeks now. However, there were also reports that Kubiak might stay with Seattle. After winning the Super Bowl, Kubiak let everyone know exactly where he will be next season, and he couldn’t have sounded more fired up, knowing his personality.
Kubiak confirms he’s taking the Raiders head coach job
“That’s up to God, and we’re just going to enjoy tonight. You guys know I’m going to Las Vegas, so I’m fired up about it. But tonight, one more night—hell yeah, of course I’m going,” Kubiak told Stacey Dales on NFL Network after the Super Bowl.
Raiders fans will love the way he said it, too. He said it as if he were truly blessed to be a Raider, or as if the opportunity was too good to pass up, as if he’d be stupid not to take the job. This fan base loves guys who are as passionate about the Silver and Black as they are. Kubiak seems like the type of guy who will certainly carry that.
This is all kind of a full-circle moment, too. Kubiak’s father, Gary Kubiak, won a few Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos. Now his son will be the head coach of his previous arch-rival. And to make it even better, Klint Kubiak is fired up, and now Gary Kubiak somewhat has to root for the Raiders.
Klint Kubiak has won a Super Bowl as an offensive coordinator. This was the best-case scenario for the Raiders, too, as he’s bringing that with him to Vegas.
