Klint Kubiak just pulled the curtain back a bit for Raiders fans to see what they will get in 2026
The Raiders will love his offense.
The Las Vegas Raiders have to be excited about what’s to come regarding their new head coach, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
He’s one of the league’s up-and-coming offensive minds. The Raiders chose to go young at 38, rather than repeat last season’s approach, when they hired the league’s oldest coach, Pete Carroll. On Monday of Super Bowl week, Kubiak pulled the curtain back, showing Raiders fans what’s to come with his offense.
A media member asked him to draw up a red zone play, and he delivered. The Raiders needed an offensive-minded coach to improve, and Kubiak may be the perfect fit.
The Raiders got their guy to turn the offense around
This franchise has ranked among the league’s worst offenses every year since 2021. The Raiders last fielded a good offense in 2021, when they made the postseason but lost to the Cincinnati Bengals. They have not scored more than 22 points per game in a season since 2020, when they averaged 27.
Kubiak has the Seahawks scoring 26 points per game, the sixth-best mark in the league. Before this season, he was the offensive coordinator with the New Orleans Saints. He had that terrible roster, with no quarterback worth starting, and scored 20 points per game.
If he can do these miraculous things, he can fix the Raiders’ offensive issues over the last five years. The process begins with bringing in players who fit his system—much like the Seahawks did, which is why they are so dominant. For Vegas, the timeline starts with the quarterback position: the Raiders are projected to draft Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza first overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Then, Kubiak and general manager John Spytek will have $88 million to spend in free agency on both sides of the ball. This team could look completely different under Kubiak than it did under Carroll. Then again, that’s what you want after seeing how bad they have been the last four seasons.
