Maxx Crosby, the Las Vegas Raiders' best player, who has been making quarterbacks have nightmares over the last few years, is doing incredible things off of the field. He has investments in things like a bare-knuckle fighting league, and does a ton of charity work for people who deal with addiction.
And now, he's helping a place that helped him get to where he is now.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders' best player in Maxx Crosby, now has another job, where he will be the assistant general manager for his alma mater's football program, Eastern Michigan University.
Crosby played at Eastern Michigan from 2015 to 2018, arriving as an under-recruited defensive end with one FBS offer. After redshirting in 2015, he played all 13 games in 2016, recording 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks. In 2017, he started every game, led the team with 11 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss, and earned First-Team All-MAC and Team MVP honors. In 2018, he had 70 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and a pick-six, again earning First-Team All-MAC.
Crosby finished with 162 tackles, 41 tackles for loss, and 20 sacks, ranking second in EMU history for both TFLs and sacks. He helped the Eagles reach a bowl game in 2016, ending a 29-year drought. His transformation from a 210-pound recruit to a 255-pound edge rusher led to his fourth-round selection by the Oakland Raiders in 2019, as he is one of the last remaining players to have played in Oakland. In 2024, Eastern Michigan honored him by naming Crosby Field at Rynearson Stadium after he donated a good sum of money for the program.
Now, he's doing something similar to what Trae Young, the former Oklahoma Sooners basketball player and current Atlanta Hawks player, is doing with OU.
Crosby being involved will only help the school do better in recruiting and elevate the program. And, for Crosby, he gets to be involved with his alma mater when it comes to trying to improve the place he so dearly loves.
