The Las Vegas Raiders were seen as a team that was starting fresh in Week 9. Week 9 is now Week 1, and the team is 0-0, not 3-5. That's what happens when it's the midway point of the season, and you fire your head coach.
The Raiders aren't expecting to win the Super Bowl from here. Why would they expect that? However, I'm sure that they now believe they can be a competitive team and play with anyone instead of getting blown out by the good teams and barely beating some of the worst teams in football.
After their 30-6 win over the New York Giants, the Raiders went to their locker room and celebrated. Who was there? Well, none other than Raiders' owner Mark Davis.
Maxx Crosby, who made history on Sunday, was filming a video for Twitter, and at the very end of the one-minute-long video, Crosby goes over to Davis, puts his arm around him, and they just have good vibes all around, all while everyone in the locker room is smoking a cigar.
This team deserves to celebrate, and all of the players are likely thanking Davis in the locker room for finally making the coaching change they so desperately needed. While, no, he shouldn't have been hired in the first place, everyone is finally glad he was let go. Antonio Pierce coached one hell of a game, too.
You love to see Davis celebrating with his players, though.
