The Las Vegas Raiders are a difficult team to project this season. They added plenty of talent during the off-season, but they still have a couple glaring holes at positions of need. Regardless, one national media analyst believes that they will win the AFC West.
Sal Iacano, a co-host for a sports betting show for Fox, certainly believes in this Raiders team. He mentions the extension for QB Derek Carr, the addition of WR Davante Adams and Chandler Jones, and a belief in new HC Josh McDaniels.
He does realize that there are a couple big needs for the roster at offensive line and cornerback, though. That being said, he thinks the other parts of the roster can make up for the deficiencies.
Iacano also points out that the Raiders played very well to end last season. They almost beat the AFC's representation in the Super Bowl last season in the first round of the playoffs. Folks do seem to forget that.
It could be a very interesting year for the Raiders. We could see a season similar to the one that the Bengals had last year, or their issues could be too much for them to handle in the best division in football. Only time will tell.
