Raiders, pass rush

The Las Vegas Raiders spent a lot of money this off-season, in case some of you don't remember, and now, it looks like they are going broke in terms of getting what they paid for.

Davante Adams is still considered a top-three wide receiver in the league and has had amazing moments this season. I'd say the Raiders are getting and will continue to get what they paid for in terms of production.

The other move the Raiders made though, is the signing of Chandler Jones, and that hasn't gone as great as a lot of people thought it would.

Me personally, I was not too high on the signing, but, I also wasn't low. I knew that Jones could do what the Raiders wanted him to do, but I also knew the floor was closer than the ceiling was at this point in his career.

So far I'm showing right, but I'll gladly be wrong.

The pass rush hasn't been there at all outside of Maxx Crosby, especially from Chandler Jones' side.

"Well it always starts with me in terms of having to figure out how to coach it better and putting them in better spots to create some more negative plays in terms of the pass rush and some consistent pressure based on the game and how the flow of the game goes," defensive coordinator Patrick Graham said. "But again, no excuses, we just have to find a way to be more consistent."

Now, I am no coach, but I don't know if that has much to do with coaching. To me, it simply comes down to the fact that the players are just not playing well. When it comes to getting to the passer, it really isn't too deep when trying to find out why it isn't working.

The Raiders are going to go broke in terms of getting what they paid for in Jones. He has been, bad, to say the least.

Jones got his first sack of the season against the Texans and did not register one last week. He has 16 pressures on the year. Crosby, on the other hand, has six sacks and 30 pressures. Crosby has just 47 more snaps than Jones.

If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what will. The Raiders are getting robbed, or as the kids say it, finessed.
