The Las Vegas Raiders are at home right now while their two biggest rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, are gearing up to win a Lombardi Trophy and hoist it inside Allegiant Stadium. I know; I'm sorry I had to bring it up again.
But there are some positives that can come out of this. The Raiders get to show the entire world how great of an organization they are while flashing their beautiful facilities. Tom Telesco, the new general manager, said it best during his introductory press conference – the facilities in Las Vegas are like no other.
Showing off these facilities is, in a way, showing potential free agents that may be in town for the game or even players on both Super Bowl teams how good the Raiders have it. It's a great way to try and draw more people in.
The one issue Raider Nation has had with it all, worse than other issues, is the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are in their locker room. Fans hate this, especially when you factor in that there is a UNLV locker room and an away locker room both teams could use.
But it is what it is. Fans mainly do not want the Chiefs, or any team, stepping on the shield or logo that's on the carpet on the floor. Luckily, the Raiders covered it up with another rug.
On Opening Night, players of both teams spoke to hundreds of media members worldwide. Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, was asked about the Chiefs using the Raiders locker room.
"I don't have too many thoughts on it," Mahomes said on Monday night. "I did a Pro Bowl where I was in their locker room, so I have seen it before. I'm excited to play in Vegas; this is a great spot. I couldn't imagine a Super Bowl being in any better place than Las Vegas. It's going to be a great week. I saw their facility, and it is sweet. So I'm glad we are out there practicing, but it will be a great week."
Most Raiders fans have a bit of hate for Mahomes, but I'd imagine that hearing him be this classy may take their hate down just a notch.

Now the Raiders must build out their staff.
