Don't count the Raiders out of the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes just yet.

The Raiders could still do it.

The Las Vegas Raiders started the 2023 offseason with their name in the rumor mill with one of the NFL's biggest stars. Since then though, we have yet to hear anything about it.

With two games left in the 2022 season, the Raiders basically let Derek Carr walk. That let everyone know they would be in the market for a quarterback for the first time since 2014 when they drafted Carr.

But, there is the drama surrounding Davante Adams' old running mate, Aaron Rodgers, and the Raiders were a team being linked to him this offseason. But, as we said, it's been a bit quiet. Most of the rumors we have heard have been about the New York Jets.

But Dan Graziano, an ESPN NFL reporter, let Raiders fans know that the silver and black are still alive in the Rodgers sweepstakes.

But there are still a number of different ways this could turn out. Rodgers could still decide to retire. He could decide he wants to stay in Green Bay. There could be another team lurking (there are still people who think the Raiders will ultimately get involved, though if they are interested, they've been very verrrrrry quiet about it).

The Raiders are in desperate need of a quarterback, and they have the cap space to get one. But, if that doesn't work out, they also have the seventh pick in the draft.

But, if they are able to save that on a different position, and snag Rodgers, that would change everything. The Raiders would instantly be one of the best teams in the league. We need this to happen.
