The Las Vegas Raiders showed out on Sunday, as their backup players beat the San Francisco 49ers in the first preseason game of the season. Josh McDaniels is now 5-0 in preseason play, but the offense and defense played spectacularly in the win.

The Raiders are now heading to Los Angeles to have a joint practice with the Rams before their game on Saturday. This will be another team that won't be an easy out.

While the Raiders got the win this last Sunday, a few players still suffered a loss – meaning they didn't benefit from the win.

3 Raiders losers from Sunday's win over 49ers

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB

Garoppolo didn't even play on Sunday, yet, he still walked away with a loss in a game his team won. How? Well, as things currently stand, Aidan O'Connell, his eventual successor, played so well. He played a nearly perfect game while Garoppolo just watched it all unfold.

Garoppolo signed a three-year deal, but if O'Connell is the real deal, and can do that against starting-level NFL defenses, then there is a chance he overtakes Garoppolo earlier than expected.

Luke Masterson, LB

Masterson is currently listed as a second-string linebacker. He may very well be that all year, but the way his backup, a third-string rookie, played, there is a chance he could end up in trouble on the depth chart. Amari Burney is that guy.

Burney was once a defensive back but is now a linebacker. He played great on Sunday, and I'd even consider him a "winner" from Sunday's game, where he was disruptive via a sack and always being around the ball. He could take over that second spot if Masterson isn't careful.

Josh Jacobs, RB

Now, I am by no means going to say Zamir White is better than Jacobs because he isn't. However, I think this offense could operate fine with White as the starter. It's the preseason, but he still ran the ball very well on Sunday. Not only that, but the backups did as well.

Sincere McCormick, one of the running backs that are pretty far down the roster, had two touchdowns on Sunday. He rushed nine times for 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground and caught one through the air. They rushed for 120 yards on the ground overall.
