The Las Vegas Raiders' newest quarterback is throwing dimes on and off the field.
Aidan O'Connell is not only very good at playing quarterback, but he is also kind of funny, too. It would appear the Raiders made the perfect pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
O'Connell has been shocking the NFL world with his play. As a fourth-round pick from Purdue, no one really expected the kid to be this good, preseason or not. He is engineering the offense to perfection and making no mistakes while doing so.
Against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, he did something else we didn't expect – he used his legs a bit. After the game, he had a pretty funny comment about it too.
"Yeah, you know, they come out when they need to," O'Connell said in the locker room after the game.
O'Connell ran a few bootleg action plays that saw him escape the pocket a bit. He also used his legs to gain yards a few times. O'Connell can use them, even if we rather he didn't. Either way, this was a funny comment.
