The Las Vegas Raiders are now 2-2 and are soon to be headed east a bit where they will play their second division game of the year. Playing the Denver Broncos in Week 5 is a great way to get the season on track, because, even though they are also 2-2, they are not a very good team.

Against the Cleveland Browns, with their two best players out and five total starters out, the Raiders proved that they are a good team, and can be a good team in 2024. And, it helps when all three phases play the way they are supposed to.

The offense finally put together a few great drives, rather than just one a game, or even none a game. They looked great running and throwing the ball, and have improved on that side drastically from where they were in their previous two losses to both the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers.

The defense stepped up big time with their leader and best player out in Maxx Crosby. Charles Snowden had the game-winning play, and Tre'Von Moehrig capitalized on a miscue by the Browns to get an interception. But, what no one is going to talk about, is how good the special teams were.

The Raiders have the best two specialists in the league, especially at punter, where A.J. Cole put on a show, so much so, that he was getting hyped up after his big-time plays, in ways you won't see any other punter do.

After a huge punt, which went for 67 yards, he did a celebration that you see most skill players or defensive players do. It was amazing, but, he can do that, because he is the best. Most of the time, you get counters who don't really say or do much after a big play. Cole had four punts for a total of 232 yards, with a few 65-plus yarders.

This is why the fan base loves him so much.
