The Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders have played each other more than you may think, 42 times, to be exact, in their all-time history. However, these two teams have not played each other in quite some time.

The last time the Raiders played the Bills was in 2020 when Josh Allen was just a pup in his second season. At that time, Jon Gruden was the head coach, and this team had a completely different regime.

In that game, the Bills traveled to Las Vegas and left with a narrow victory, in which they won by just a touchdown.

These two teams are tied against each other in their all-time meeting record, 21-21. They were still the Oakland Raiders when they met before this last one in 2017. The city name didn't matter, as they lost that one too, 14-34 in Buffalo.

There is a trend in this series, though, and the Raiders are hoping the trend continues and they can follow it as they pay them on Sunday.

Since 2004, both teams have won two games in a row, and they flipped. So, in 2004 and 2005, the Raiders won. In 2008 and 2011, the Buffalo Bills won. In 2014 and 2016, the Raiders won. And the Bills have won the last two games.

If the trend continues, that means the Raiders are due a win or even two.

They certainly have history on their side in this matchup

But Las Vegas will have some things going against them, too, like Jakobi Meyers likely missing the game, along with the other injuries they are dealing with.
