There is coach talk, and then there is what Antonio Pierce does for the Las Vegas Raiders. He keeps it real. He won't lie, no matter if the outcome of the game was good or bad. He's not afraid to let the media, fans, and players know how he feels. On Sunday, after an embarrassing loss, he did just that.

The Raiders hosted their first home game of the year after a great win over the Baltimore Ravens, trying to go 2-1 when they should be 3-0 after a bad loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, too.

The Raiders just didn't look good, whether it was the offensive or defensive side of the ball.

"We got our ass whopped. We got our ass whopped," Pierce told the media after the loss to the Carolina Panthers. "We got to put pads on, I don't know, got to get on the sled. The same group that's, for the most part, all come back and the same technique, same coaches, it's not a different scheme, so obviously we have to coach better and be some hard asses on the guys and guys have to take some rough coaching because just didn't see that on either side of the ball.

"We had an opportunity to run the ball and we didn't. Didn't do that at all. We tried and tried and tried and I would have booed us, too, offensively, defensively we didn't do a good enough job up front, not good enough."

It started in the trenches, where the Raiders offensive line got bullied by a bunch of undrafted players who most people don't know, respectfully. That's not a knock on them, because they balled out. That just shows who wanted it more, and it obviously wasn't the Raiders offensive line which is made of high draft picks and stars like Kolton Miller.

On defense, well, they are pretty beaten up. There's no Malcolm Koonce, and there's no Divine Deablo. They are playing with practice squad-level players, and Maxx Crosby is playing through an injury. Then, Pierce mentioned that players are making business decisions and not giving their full effort. That can't happen.

They got their ass whooped, for sure, and if they come out the same way against the Cleveland Browns, they will lose again, but maybe worse.
