The Las Vegas Raiders have dealt with some of the more brutal injuries in the league this year. They have star players, role players, key players, backups, and franchise players who all get hurt over and over again this year. And now, it's not looking any better.

Forget the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, because most of us just knew that was going to happen regardless, but what the main area of concern is now, is quarterback Aidan O'Connell and his health. He didn't have a great game, the opposite of last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, to be exact, but he suffered what looked to be a brutal injury.

O'Connell, with an air cast on his leg, was carted off of the field, leaving Desmond Ridder to be the quarterback for the day.

After the game, we got a bit of an update.

"Yeah, it doesn't look good," head coach Antonio Pierce said after the game to the media.

The Raiders could be without O'Connell for the rest of the year, and if they are, Ridder will be the guy to push this team across the finish line. Their next game is against the Atlanta Falcons, Ridder's former team.
