The Las Vegas Raiders have gone through the first two weeks of the season with some pretty significant injuries working against them. Some of those injuries have kept those players out, and some of them have hindered the play of the players who have chosen to play through it. But, they are still 1-1 looking optimistic after a big win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, as they approach Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, the question is if some of these injured players who are either banged up and have been playing, or hurt and haven't played yet, will play this week. The injury report the first two practice days of the week has given up a bit of an insight as to what could happen, as did Antonio Pierce on Friday before practice.

"Playing on Sunday," Pierce said on Crosby and Jackson Powers-Johnson. "The ultimate warrior (Crosby). He hasn't missed a snap, and I don't expect him to miss a snap on Sunday either."

Maxx Crosby has been on the injury report all week as a limited participant in practice. But, he's still practicing, just not as fully as others. This is not abnormal. Last season, he went two weeks in a row at one time during the season, where he didn't practice at all because of his knee issue, yet still played in those games that week.

He's just a different breed. I knew, as did most people, from the get-go that Crosby being limited still means that he will be playing on Sunday. The only way he doesn't play, well, I would say dead, but even then he'd find a way to play. His motor is relentless.

As for the rookie guard who hasn't played yet this year, we will see him on Sunday, too. Now, it's just about trying to formulate an opinion or guess on how well he will play.

"We will see," Pierce said when asked what he expects from JPJ in his debut. "We didn't see him in the preseason. Had a good week of practice last week. That energy and fountain of young and aggressiveness, looking forward to seeing it."

Cody Whitehair hasn't been great. So, I'd assume that Powers-Johnson takes over there at that left guard position. We saw Whitehair and Andrus Peat swap snaps all last game because neither were getting the job done. Hopefully, that isn't the case this Sunday.

As for the other injuries on the report, Pierce didn't speak on those, but we will learn more later on Friday when the report comes out.
