The Raiders just got some weird news that not many may have expected.

There will be some time to dove deeper into the news and what it means for the Raiders, but it has been reported that the Raiders are interested in making a trade.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Raiders have been said to be interested in trading for Los Angeles Rams starting running back Cam Akers.

Akers was once a hot commodity in fantasy football, and now he is being put on the inactive list in Week 2. Last season, Akers and the Rams had a weird situation where no one knew what the future would hold.

The Rams have made it clear now.

According to Schultz, several teams have checked in with the Rams about a potential Cam Akers trade, including the Buccaneers, Ravens, Raiders, and Browns. It’s still possible Akers gets released (salary reasons), but the team is actively shopping him, and he’s more than likely played his last game there.

This would be interesting with Josh Jacobs in town.
