The Las Vegas Raiders really needed to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in a game that featured two teams battling for the highest draft pick they could possibly get. In this case, the Jaguars came out on top, meaning, well, they lost, so they are the worse team and they get the better pick, for now.

Had the Raiders lost this game, they would have stayed near the top of the 2025 NFL Draft order. They were the No. 1 pick coming into this game, and after a win, have now fallen to the No. 6 overall pick. Of course, with games against the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Chargers left, that could still change. But, it's safe to say that the Raiders have let their fan base down once again.

If you go on Twitter or X, you will see a ton of Raider Nation complaining and completely in shambles. The one thing they had to hold on to this year, was that they were possibly going to get the No. 1 pick. Now, they don't even have that to look forward to.

Frankly, the Raiders don't care about that, and head coach Antonio Pierce really doesn't care, as he channeled his inner Grinch when he was asked about not having the No. 1 pick now.

"Talk to Tom Telesco," Pierce said during his postgame press conference.

As the kids are saying these days, the Raiders had one job, to lose, and they couldn't even do that right. Now, they are staring at possibly not getting a QB in the draft, unless they trade up. The No. 6 pick would have the Raiders getting maybe one of the top cornerbacks in the draft, a top offensive lineman, or maybe even a defensive lineman.

That's fine and dandy, as they need help all over the roster, but they really, and I mean really, need a quarterback. They may have just blown that Sunday.
