The Las Vegas Raiders could possibly have an upper hand over one of their biggest rivals in the Kansas City Chiefs, something they haven't really had this season.
The Raiders' season was bad, as we all know, and it could end badly too, based on who they play. The Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league right now, and they could very well put on a show against Las Vegas.
However, there is a path that has the Raiders having the upper hand based on what we learned Wednesday.
According to the injury report for Wednesday, the Chiefs seem to be significantly beaten up. Four of their key players were limited on Wednesday in offensive guard Joe Thuney, receiver Skyy Moore, cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, and of course Mecole Hardman who was activated off of the injured reserve list Wednesday, who played the last time these two teams played.
Oh, and also their kicker Harrison Butker did not participate on Wednesday.
While these could very well be nothing, and these guys could all be healthy come Saturday. That is a very good possibility. However, Sneed seemed to take a pretty big hit to the hip last week after intercepting Russell Wilson, and he had to be helped off the field.
Hardman has been out since Week 8, and just got activated, so they could very well push him to wait for the playoffs.
According to pro football reference, Thuney has played 100% of the offensive snaps in every game this season but the last one, where he played 68%. If you ask me, he is going to play.
As for the Raiders, they have a bit cleaner injury report as five of the seven names on it were full participants on Wednesday. Linebacker Darien Butler is dealing with a concussion and was limited while Josh Jacobs did not participate due to rest.
