Things went from bad to worse for the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery on his foot where he suffered a Jones Fracture on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
It's been a tough season for the Raiders this season. Their star wide receiver Davante Adams requested a trade and missed the last game with a hamstring injury. They ended up having 18 players on the injury report last week with tight end Michael Mayer and running back Zamir White also missing the game.
Losing Wilkins is a huge blow for the Raiders, who gave Wilkins a four-year, $110 million contract to play next to edge rusher Maxx Crosby to make his life a little bit easier. With him set to miss at minimum four games after being placed on injured reserve, the Raiders defense will be severely undermanned until his return, which is up in the air.
