The Las Vegas Raiders' defense just instantly got better before their matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

While the defense is still not amazing, they have been the best part of this team overall. Now, they just got better after Tuesday's news about a waiver claim.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Raiders claimed former New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones off of waivers. Jones was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft but has shown a ton of potential.

Now, a lot of you may be thinking, "Not another Patriots player," but this one is different. Jones played for Antonio Pierce in high school at Long Beach Poly and in college at Arizona State.

The Raiders don't have an immediate need at cornerback, but they can always get better there. Plus, they have had injuries on defense all year, and now injuries to Amik Robertson and Jakorian Bennett on the outside.
