Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has a lot of pull with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

So naturally, a person close to Adams believes a reunion between Adams and Rodgers is a legitimate possibility next season. Speaking with ESPN under anonymity, the source explained that "[Rodgers] was his QB for eight years, they were close when it counted, and money talks—Nevada is a tax-free state."

Rodgers, who has spent his entire career in Green Bay, is open to a change in scenery after a season where the Packers never really got it going. Additionally, the Packers organization is tossing around the idea of giving former first-round pick Jordan Love his first real opportunity to prove himself as a starter in the league.

What makes this situation interesting is that though Rodgers has spent his 18-year NFL career in Green Bay, he is very receptive to a move if that is the direction the organization wants to take.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show last week, Rodgers said he is "open to all honest and direct conversations" and that a trade "wouldn't offend me, and it wouldn't make me feel like a victim."

Aaron Rodgers' fit with the Las Vegas Raiders

Insert Las Vegas.

The Raiders were interested in Tom Brady immediately after their season ended. But following Brady's second retirement announcement, the organization has been forced to pivot. It's also widely reported that Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels would prefer a veteran quarterback who he doesn't have to develop because the Raiders are in "win now" mode. Rodgers gives the Raiders the best chance to compete.

Though he is 39, Rodgers still has some juice left in the tank. Las Vegas wouldn't be asking him to be a league MVP — even though he says he is still capable of doing so. The Raiders just need Rodgers to be more consistent than former starting quarterback Derek Carr, who the organization recently started shopping around.

Not too long ago, Rodgers was a dominant quarterback. He won his third and fourth career NFL MVP awards in 2020 and 2021, and a big reason for his success was the presence of wide receiver Adams.

Also in 2020, with Rodgers, Adams scored a career-high 18 touchdowns. Then in 2021, Adams set career marks with 123 receptions and 1,553 yards.

The ties to Las Vegas are there. And it wouldn't be shocking if the organization tried to make a push to trade for Rodgers. In a win-now league, Rodgers is the best fit and gives Las Vegas the best shot to hoist a meaningful trophy next season.
