This year, the Las Vegas Raiders have yet another example of a defensive back wearing No. 24, Charles Woodson's old number, and did not live up to the expectations or anywhere near.

Later in the offseason, the Raiders signed the Oakland, California native Marcus Peters to help bolster the second and possibly find a veteran who still has a bit of juice left. He does not have any juice left.

All year long, Peters has been terrible and a guy that other teams seem to be targeting. Aside from his pick-six against the Lions, Peters has been bad in zone coverage, man-to-man, press, and especially tackling. He has even dropped a few interceptions as well. He just doesn't have it anymore.

Later, after the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Vic Tafur of The Athletic revealed that the Raiders would soon be cutting Peters. On Monday morning, the Raiders announced they were curring him.

Doing it now and not allowing Peters to play on his $60 thousand game check would save the Raiders approximately $300 thousand right now, and maybe even more later down the road when the season is over.
