The Las Vegas Raiders had to make a tough move on Monday as they cut a guy who has won a Super Bowl before in the NFL.
The Raiders are a team that is signing any free agent that could be a hidden gem for them. They have a loaded rookie class that includes some great UDFA guys, and they also signed some players that have played in some meaningful games.
On Monday, they ended up cutting one of those guys. According to Aaron Wilson, the Raiders cut wide receiver Tyler Johnson on Monday from what was already a stacked wide receiver room.
Johnson has played in some really meaningful games. The year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, he played in every playoff game, including the Super Bowl, whether it was offense or special teams. There are still not a whole lot of guys in the league who can say that.
Johnson is a guy that will get signed fairly quickly because the talent is most definitely there, but he probably just didn't fit what the Raiders wanted or needed.
