The Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of talent on their roster, and honestly, they have some of the more elite players in the league at their own respected positions.
For instance, Davante Adams, despite the down year because of the bad offense, is still one of the best receivers in the league, and some would even say the best receiver in the league. Last season, Josh Jacobs was the best running back in the league, as he led the league in rushing.
They also have the best defensive end in the league. I don't care what anyone says; Maxx Crosby is the best at his position and should be up for a Defensive Player of the Year award this offseason when the award show happens.
But, one thing that doesn't get talked about enough is that they have two of the best special teams players in the league, too. A.J. Cole is by far the best punter in the NFL, and he was last year. And, after another impressive game on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, it's pretty clear that Daniel Carlson has been one of the best kickers in the league since 2018.
Here is what the Raiders' PR team tweeted out about Carlson's successful career since 2018:
K Daniel Carlson connects on a 40-yard field goal, capping off a 12-play, 54-yard Raiders scoring drive. Carlson has now made 166 of 188 field goals since entering the league in 2018. His 166 makes are the third most in the NFL over that span
The Raiders have to find a way to turn all of these talented players on their team to win. They haven't been able to do that yet, but it's no doubt that Carlson is one of the best.
Raiders’ Daniel Carlson almost relived one of his worst nightmares vs. Packers
The Raiders’ defense was able to make up for it.
