We know the Las Vegas Raiders are a bad team at the moment, as were they last year, so you don't need me to sit here and harp on that. However, there are still a lot of things we can be positive about, which is a good thing to practice during a bad season.

Let's start by saying, sure, the offense has looked rough, and Josh McDaniels probably does need to be fired; Davante Adams has worked so far this year, even with the slow game in Week 1, as Jakobi Meyers was the guy that game.

Adams, who we all know is the best wide receiver in the league, has surely shown it in the last few games. In the last game, he hurt his shoulder and didn't even have a catch until deep into the second half. Then, on the final two offensive dries for the Raiders, he came alive, but especially on the last drive.

Aidan O'Connell went to him what felt like every play, and why wouldn't you? If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Adams was wide open every snap, whether a big play or a small one at the sticks. He was also doing something else that we can't overlook.

Adams was, is, and has been the best receiver in the league on third and fourth downs.

On third and fourth downs this season, Adams has nine receptions, 136 receiving yards, two touchdowns, nine first downs, and a 157.8 rating when targeted. Those would be great numbers overall through four weeks, with Week 1 being a down week, but, instead, they are just when the Raiders are on third and fourth down, which has happened a lot this season.

Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tyreek Hill are great, and some of the best in the league, but no one is doing it on third and fourth down like Adams is. If they didn't have him, it's fair to say we would be seeing a lot more punting from this team.
