You know the old saying, "Once a Raider, always a Raider," well, that couldn't be more true than for a guy like Derek Carr. You can hate him, you can love him, think he was good or bad during his time here, but you can't argue that he doesn't love the silver and black.

Carr spent nine years with the Raiders, took them to the playoffs a few times, had a few tough injuries, and went through a ton of different regimes, coaches, systems, you name it. Yet, he never wanted to stop being a Raider.

Recently he said something that only proves he wishes he was still wearing the best colors in the league. I mean, he does still have his home in the Vegas area.

"You know, we still have our house in Vegas," Carr told the media earlier this week. "But, you know, coming to a new city, you know, the first thing in life, you know, I learned Chipotle is not the only food in New Orleans on that. You know, I've learned a lot of things since joining. As I said, I wish the best for my friends. I hope they win and do great. But, you know, I'm, I'm in New Orleans now."

Not everything was sunshine and roses in silver and black for Carr. While he loved it, some of the fanbase also loved it; it was time for a change for both sides too. Carr needed some new consistency in his life. The Raiders needed something new, a guy who knew McDaniels system. Both sides got what they needed.

But Carr will not have a love for the organization that drafted him 36 overall in 2014.

"When we played the Chiefs this past Sunday, I got home, my kids had the Raiders game on, I'm watching my guys, and they're like cheering for Daniel [Carlson] when he's going up there to kick," Carr continued. "I mean, my daughter the other day was running around, and she said touchdown Raiders. I was like, oh, not anymore, not anymore. So, you know, those are my friends. As I said, I got no hard feelings, you know, too, towards any of my guys. I want those guys to succeed because I know, you know, when you don't succeed, it's tough, and it's hard, it's hard on your family. It's hard on everybody, and I don't want that for my friends."

Carr may not have been the most talented quarterback in the league, the best quarterback in the league, or even the best to ever wear silver and black, but he is one of the more accomplished when it comes to individual numbers. He leads the Raiders in any passing stat you can think of besides interceptions.

Now, all we can do is wish Carr nothing but the best in New Orleans, as he is doing for the Raiders.
